Pregnancy and Fertility Care for Sector 4 Families
If you live in Sector 4, Gurgaon and need a hospital for pregnancy, childbirth or fertility treatment, Thakral Hospital & Fertility Centre is at 316/16, Sohna Alwar Road, behind Petrol Pump, Shivaji Nagar, Sector 11, Gurugram, Haryana 122001. It has cared for Gurugram families for more than 25 years, and more than 20,000 babies have been born here.
A single hospital can look after you from the first fertility consultation to the delivery and your baby's first days. This page explains the care available, what each stage involves and how to prepare, so that you can decide with confidence.
How the IVF Journey Works
IVF is a sequence of steps, not a single procedure. Knowing the sequence helps you plan work leave and appointments.
- Consultation and tests: both partners are evaluated with hormone tests, ultrasound and semen analysis.
- Ovarian stimulation: medicines help several eggs develop, and scans track their growth.
- Egg retrieval and fertilisation: eggs are collected under sedation and combined with sperm in the laboratory, by IVF or by ICSI.
- Embryo transfer: a selected embryo is placed in the uterus, and any extra embryos can be frozen.
- Pregnancy test and follow-up: a blood test is done about two weeks after the transfer.
Not every couple needs IVF. Depending on the cause, ovulation support or IUI treatment may be tried first, and the doctor explains why a step is recommended. See the full process at our IVF centre in Gurgaon.
Costs depend on your age, tests, medicines, add-ons and the number of cycles, so we do not quote a single figure for everyone. Our guide to IVF cost in Gurgaon explains what the bill is made of, and you receive the expected charges in writing before treatment starts.
Maternity Care From Booking to Delivery
Antenatal Check-ups and Scans
Check-ups usually happen about monthly until 28 weeks, every two weeks until 36 weeks and weekly after that. Blood tests and scans, including detailed anomaly scans, Doppler and fetal echocardiography, are available in our fetal medicine and radiology unit.
Delivery Options
Labour, delivery and recovery (LDR) rooms let you stay in one room through labour and early recovery. Normal delivery, painless delivery and caesarean section are all available. Read about our normal delivery hospital in Gurgaon and the complete maternity services.
When the Pregnancy Needs Extra Watching
Diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, twins or a complication in an earlier pregnancy call for closer follow-up and a delivery plan made early. Learn about high-risk pregnancy care.
Newborn and Postnatal Care
A Level I NICU and newborn care (paediatrics and neonatology) keep your baby in the same hospital. After delivery you get recovery guidance, breastfeeding support and follow-up visits.
A Simple Checklist Before You Choose
- Check the travel time to the hospital at the hours you would actually travel, and save the hospital number.
- Ask whether the newborn unit is in the same building.
- Ask who will conduct your delivery and what happens if labour starts at night.
- Ask for a written estimate of delivery or IVF costs and what it includes.
- Keep your reports, scan files and a packed hospital bag ready from about 34 weeks.
